Our Mission
To establish a vibrant, Christ-centred community within the University of Lagos — reaching every student, nurturing every believer, and ensuring that no part of this campus remains untouched by the love and message of Jesus Christ.
Called to a campus.
Sent to a generation.
Since 1986, the Redeemed Christian Fellowship at the University of Lagos has existed to see every student encounter Jesus Christ and walk in the fullness of life He provides.
The Redeemed Christian Fellowship, UNILAG Chapter, is an arm of Christ the Redeemer's Ministry, a subsidiary of the Redeemed Christian Church of God operating under the apostolic oversight of Pastor E.A. Adeboye. We were established at the University of Lagos in 1986 with a single, unwavering mandate: to take the gospel to every student, every faculty, and every corridor of campus life.
We are not merely a campus programme. We are a living community — one that has, through nearly four decades and hundreds of tenures, seen students transformed by the power of the Word of God, discipled in prayer, and released into the world as vessels of lasting impact.
Our identity is the Chosen Generation. Our commission is the campus. Our method is Christ.

1 Peter 2:9But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light.
To establish a vibrant, Christ-centred community within the University of Lagos — reaching every student, nurturing every believer, and ensuring that no part of this campus remains untouched by the love and message of Jesus Christ.
To see every student at the University of Lagos walking in the complete freedom and victory that God has made available through Christ Jesus — spiritually alive, academically excellent, and relationally whole.
Every programme, gathering, and initiative within RCF UNILAG is built upon three enduring commitments. These are not aspirational values — they are the active disciplines that have sustained and grown this fellowship through every tenure since 1986.
Scripture is the non-negotiable foundation of all we do. Through systematic Bible study, consistent corporate prayer, and personal devotion, we build believers who know God intimately — not just know of Him. Every spiritual activity flows from this.
The gospel moves outward by design. Faculty missions, hostel outreaches, and campus-wide evangelism are not occasional events — they are the heartbeat of our mandate. We exist to bring others in, not to remain a closed community.
We are one family — a home away from home for every Alakite. Through genuine community, intentional discipleship, and mutual care, RCF UNILAG provides every student a place of belonging, accountability, and deep spiritual friendship.
The Tenure of His Manifest Glory
Every time God gives a theme to a people, it is more than a slogan — it is a revelation of what He desires to do in a season. For this tenure, God has given us the theme PHANEROS DOXA, meaning Manifest Glory.
The inspiration comes from John 2:11: “…and manifested forth His glory.” Throughout Scripture, whenever God revealed His Glory, men never remained the same. Moses encountered this Glory in Exodus 33–34. In 2 Chronicles 5:13–14, the priests worshipped and the Glory of God filled the temple so strongly that they could not stand to minister.
One thing is clear: nobody truly encounters the Glory of God and remains ordinary. This is what God is calling us into as a fellowship — not mere religion or routine Christianity, but a people who genuinely behold Him and carry His Presence.
“One thing is clear: nobody truly encounters the Glory of God and remains ordinary.”
